If you love Autumn and you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate the season with friends and family in Detroit, look no further. We’ve put together a short list of some amazing events happening in the area over the coming months, whether you’re eager for a day of pumpkin-picking, hankering to dine at a festive supper club, or you want to keep the kids busy at an all-day fall-themed festival.
Harvest Fest
If you’re looking for a free way to entertain the kids on Friday 25th October, Harvest Fest at the city’s Central Hub could be just the ticket. Situated at 803 Hazelwood Street, you can take part in various fall-themed celebrations between 4.30 and 6.30 PM, including pumpkin decorating, fall-themed crafts, a costume parade, and an array of delicious seasonal treats.
Come and spend a cozy afternoon with your loved ones or make new friends with the locals. With plenty of room in your 2025 Ford Explorer, you’ll be able to bring the whole family along!
Wine Club Dinner
For something a little more sophisticated, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is putting on a fall-themed supper club, complete with wine pairings. The decadent events will take place on the evenings of 18th and 19th November at the winery’s location on 151 East Big Beaver Road, so arrange a designated driver for this event.
Wine Club guests can enjoy such delights as rosemary focaccia with cranberry honey drizzle and whipper butter, snow crab capellini, and old-fashioned apple cobbler, along with their signature Padma Red and Padma White wines of the month.
Pumpkin Patch Party
Prefer something a bit more outdoorsy? The Asibara Forest U-Pick Pumpkin Patch Party on Saturday 26th October could be right up your street. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of a Michigan fall, complete with pumpkins, hot cider, donuts, games, and activities. Children will be kept entertained with face painting, climbable hay bales, a bounce house, and pumpkin bowling.
Admission is free for a full day of fun starting at 11 am. The forest grows real pumpkins, so you’ll be able to learn about the process of growing these fall staples from seed to harvest, as well as picking your own and taking it home for carving! Costumes are optional but encouraged. You’ll find the stunning Asibara Forest at 20165 Charleston Street.
There’s no need to hide indoors once the cold weather hits. Why not embrace the season and celebrate with all the fun and good cheer that our beautiful city has to offer? If you’re looking for a slick, speedy drive to get you to your destination while navigating the roads safely, come and visit Bob Maxey Ford, Detroit 1833 E Jefferson Ave, and we’ll find the perfect vehicle to suit your needs.
