While connectivity on modern vehicles is a common feature, Ford is revealing something fresh and exciting with the Ford Digital Experience. Learn everything there is to know about this Google-enabled suite of infotainment technology before you visit your local Detroit Ford dealership.

This suite of infotainment technology puts the power of connectivity right at your fingertips with a customizable infotainment system filled with standard Google software, such as Google Assistant, Google Play, and Google Maps. With all of this Google-enabled technology, you can use voice commands to check the weather, control the in-cabin temperature, request directions, and so much more. 

Standard Google Maps is one of the highlight features of this technology suite. Not only is precise navigation a given, but Google Maps can also incorporate points of interest on your map so you can find parking spaces, bookstores, restaurants, gas stations, and more. All data from Google Maps is synced in real time.

Alexa Voice Assistance

Along with Google Assistant, this technology suite also supports standard access to Amazon Alexa voice commands for compatible devices. With Alexa, you can control smart home devices, set reminders, search the internet, or control some vehicle settings using only your voice. 

Radio Options

Your infotainment system also comes with standard access to AM/FM radio and SiriusXM radio. These radio options are great for listening to real-time news on the road or playing the Top 40 tunes as background noise during your commute.

Vehicle Personalization

This technology suite also allows you to personalize your vehicle by linking your key fob and digital keys. This system can recall your preferred settings for your steering wheel height, your seat position, and the angle of your exterior mirror. When you use your Google Account with this technology, your infotainment system will even store your favorite destinations and voice command preferences. 

What Other Apps Are Compatible?

Along with the standard Google apps and Alexa, this technology suite is also compatible with apps on your phone via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These apps can include Spotify, Audible, and other apps that can be streamed with your vehicle’s Wi-Fi hotspot.

What Vehicles Have This Technology at Your Detroit Ford Dealership?

Since this technology suite will be a new release from Ford, it’s not available on any 2024 Ford models. Currently, Ford has confirmed that the 2025 Ford Explorer will debut this assortment of infotainment technology.
