Just as often as you’ll see an F-150 on the roads, look at any given work site, and you’re likely to see it littered with Ford Super Duty trucks. The F-250 model is an excellent step up from the F-150, offering advanced towing and hauling capabilities for big demands. Strong Engines for Tough Demands

Four different V8 engines are available across the lineup. The standard engine in XL, XLT, and Lariat models is a 6.8L V8 that produces 405 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. It can tow up to 17,300 pounds. King Ranch and Platinum models use a 7.3L V8 engine that provides 430 hp and 485 lb-ft of torque, and can tow up to 19,500 pounds. An available 6.7L diesel V8 offers over 1,000 lb-ft of torque, enabling a conventional towing capacity of 22,000 pounds.

A high-output version of the V8 increases horsepower to 500 and torque to a whopping 1,200 lb-ft. This allows for maximum gooseneck towing of up to 40,000 pounds when configured with a dual-rear wheel setup. All engines are mated to a 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission.

Practical and Versatile Exterior

The F-250 is designed to meet the practical requirements of commercial work. It comes in three cab and two bed configurations. The two-door Regular Cab setup offers room for three passengers and comes with an 8-foot bed. It’s available in work-focused XL and XLT trims. The SuperCab configuration has room for six, with smaller rear doors and an 8-foot bed. A Crew Cab setup with four full-size doors is available in all trims and with a 6.75-foot or 8-foot bed.

The Pro Power tailgate is available to make working in the bed easier, with built-in steps, grab bars, and ruler guides. LED headlights and taillights are standard on Lariat trims and higher, and are optional features on lower trims. Higher trims also include PowerScope trailer tow mirrors that include auto-dimming to reduce glare

Luxury is Up to You

The F-250 has five trim levels, each with increasingly luxurious appointments. The XL trim has all the basic work necessities without any bells or whistles, featuring manual windows, locks, and AC, vinyl upholstery, and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen. The XLT trim adds power-adjustments and keyless entry, while Lariat steps up to leather-trimmed seats with heating and ventilation, and a 12-inch infotainment display.

King Ranch exudes Western-inspired elegance, with a unique Kingville leather antique interior with wood trim. The champion of luxury is the Platinum trim, featuring premium leather upholstery, a 14-speaker B&O premium audio system, and power-deployable running boards.

The 2025 F-250 is a workhorse that stands out from the rest due to its strong engine options and vast array of standard and available amenities. Get yours today at Bob Maxey Ford in Detroit, MI.
