The 2024 Ford Ranger enters its fifth generation with a significant update this year, boasting a spacious cabin that can comfortably seat up to five people. Check out the upgraded powertrains and rugged, modern new look of this midsize pickup with a visit to your Detroit Ford dealership.

Power and Capability

The 2024 Ranger offers three formidable powertrains. The base engine is a turbo-four that gets 270 horsepower, or you can get a new larger version that provides 315 hp and 400 pound-feet of torque. Both provide a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. If you opt for the all-new Raptor trim, you’ll enjoy the performance of a 405-hp twin-turbo V6, which gets 430 pound-feet of torque. All three engines come with a 10-speed automatic and rear-wheel or 4-wheel drive.

Built for serious off-roading, the Ranger Raptor incorporates 10.7 inches of ground clearance, advanced four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case, a reinforced frame, off-roading suspension, and locking differentials in the front and rear. This model can tow up to 5,510 pounds. All trims of the Ranger now have better approach angles for off-roading thanks to the new wider stance and longer wheelbase. The maximum payload is 1,711 pounds across the lineup.

Interior and Features

The 2024 Ranger comes standard with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and 8-inch digital instrument cluster. You’ll also have a wireless hotspot, a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio, and several USB ports. Cabin upgrades include amenities like leather-trimmed seats.

As you move up the lineup, the Ranger gets additional tech features like a household-style power outlet in the truck bed, wireless charging, and integrated navigation. You can also add a 12.4-inch vertical touchscreen, a premium Bang & Olufsen stereo system, and a larger digital gauge.

Safety and Driver Assistance

You can take advantage of an array of standard driver assistance tech in the redesigned Ranger. Every trim comes with auto high beams, forward collision warning, and pre-collision assist with auto emergency braking, and the higher-tier models add lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, and blind spot monitoring. If you’re towing a trailer with your Ranger, the blind-spot monitoring system will also cover blind spots created by the load.

Available options for the truck include a surround-view camera and adaptive cruise control. A zone lighting feature provides outside illumination when you need it.

With four available trims, it’s easy to find your favorite version of the 2024 Ranger. All models come with a four-door cab and a five-foot bed, and you can add smart upgrades like larger all-terrain tires and front and rear tow hooks. Visit Bob Maxey Ford in Detroit, MI today to test drive this all-new midsize pickup.
