The 2025 Ford Ranger is a versatile midsize truck. Whether you need to haul loads across the city or big toys up a trail, its four trim levels make it easy to find the perfect configuration for your needs or lifestyle.

XL

A great choice for most trucking purposes, the Ranger XL delivers plenty of power and great performance on and off the road. At its heart is a 2.3L EcoBoost engine that makes 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but you can opt for four-wheel drive if you need improved traction or want to take the truck off the road.

This trim level not only delivers efficient performance, but it can also tow up to 7,500 pounds when properly equipped. Five selectable drive modes, including a tow/haul mode and a mode for slippery roads, allow you to adjust performance based on your needs or driving conditions. The practical interior includes manually adjustable front seats and a convenient storage compartment under the rear bench.

XLT

The XLT comes standard with the same powertrain as the XL, but you can enhance performance with the available 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine. This powertrain produces 315 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, optimizing this trim level for off-roading.

Regardless of the powertrain, this trim is a versatile choice for work and play. It comes standard with in-cab and in-bed 120V/400W power outlets and boasts unique styling elements that make it stand out, such as gray-painted 17-inch wheels. For added confidence behind the wheel, the driver assistance package includes Ford’s BLIS blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alerts and trailer coverage.

Lariat

Perfect for play or work in areas with no electricity access, the Lariat trim impresses with a wide range of convenience upgrades. This model comes standard with LED exterior lights, including LED fog lamps, bed lighting, and zone lighting, which means you can easily find your stuff in the dark and illuminate your work area or camping site.

The luxury interior includes leather-trimmed seating surfaces and heated power-adjustable front seats with driver’s side memory. Connected navigation makes it easy to plan routes and search destinations. The advanced infotainment system also pairs with a 10-speaker B&O premium sound system.

Raptor

Designed for the roads less traveled, the Ranger Raptor is the perfect choice for adventurers. This performance-tuned trim level comes with a 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine under the hood and produces 405 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel drive is standard, while FOX Racing shocks and Watts-Link suspensions provide smooth rides over rocks, ruts, and other obstacles.

Ford also equips this model with exclusive performance drive modes, including Rock Crawl, which delivers outstanding rock climbing abilities, and Baja, a mode that lets you enjoy high-speed driving on challenging terrains.
