Detroit, MI, is surrounded by beautiful lakes and gorgeous views. Belle Isle

Make the trip to Belle Isle in your roomy 2022 Ford Explorer if you want to see gorgeous city views this weekend. Your spacious 2022 Explorer makes the ride to Belle Island easy, with plenty of cargo space for all your picnic supplies, golf clubs, and swimming gear. The 982-acre Belle Isle has a shuttle service between the beach, the conservatory, and the aquarium,  so it’s easier to park and get started on the fun.

There are plenty of things to do on Belle Isle, such as walking along trails, visiting the nature center or aquarium, exploring conservatory gardens, and catching views of downtown Detroit. There are fantastic views from here, with the Ambassador Bridge off in the distance and some nice spots near shore where you can sit down and enjoy your surroundings. You can also rent paddle boards.

Detroit RiverWalk

The Detroit RiverWalk is a multi-mile walkway that runs along the Detroit River. The Riverwalk is part of the Detroit International Riverfront, and it’s a great place to go for a walk or bike ride, especially during the summer when temperatures are warmer.  

And if you want to experience the water up close, you can book a tour on the Detroit River. There are many touring companies in the area that offer cruises as well as private chartering opportunities for individuals or groups!

Chene Park

Chene Park is a music venue in Detroit, Michigan. It’s hosted many famous musicians over the years and is one of the most unique waterfront venues you’ll find anywhere in the country. With its 5,000 seats and 1,000 lawn spaces atop the hill, it’s also one of the top-rated outdoor concert venues in the country.

Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center

The Renaissance Center is a complex of seven interconnected skyscrapers in downtown Detroit. The Renaissance Center, or “Rencen,” is on the riverfront, home to several high-end restaurants, shops, and galleries.  

The tallest of these skyscrapers is the 70-story Detroit Marriott Hotel at the Renaissance Center. The hotel offers incredible views of downtown Detroit and Windsor’s skyline.

Sunset Point on Belle Isle

Sunset Point on Belle Isle is a popular spot for photographers and wedding photos. Sunset Point is on the island’s western side and is a great place to watch the sunset over Detroit. All around you are stunning views of the river, downtown Detroit, and the Windsor skyline.
