3. Komen Michigan Race for the Cure

The Komen Michigan Race for the Cure at 99 Pleasure Drive is a fun run and walk designed to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. This popular event features a five-kilometer walk and run, an expo, an opening ceremony, food trucks, hope village, a kids zone, and sponsor tents. It’s a great way to get out and meet the community, as well as putting in some time for a very good cause.

4. St. Pius Festival 

Head less than half an hour down the road to Southgate for the St. Pius Festival, 14101 Superior Street. This fantastic three-day carnival features plenty of food, games, raffles, and live music, perfect for the whole family. It’s a great way to get into the feeling of the season and gives you a chance to see the smaller-town vibe outside of Detroit.
