2022 Ford Mustang

The 2022 Ford Mustang has five basic trims: EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, and Mach 1. The first four trims are available as a convertible or a coupe, while the Mach 1 is only available as a coupe. The EcoBoost has rain-sensing wipers and 17-inch wheels. The EcoBoost Premium and GT add heated outside mirrors and up the wheels to 18 inches. The GT Premium comes with 19-inch wheels with performance tires, while the Mach 1 offers special 19-inch wheels and performance tires. Any Mustang trim is sure to turn heads as you pass by on the road.

Two engine options are available for the 2022 Ford Mustang. A 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. You can swap that out for a 10-speed automatic transmission if you prefer. With the High-Performance package, you get an increased power output of 332 horsepower. The GT trim and up come standard with a 5.0-liter V-8 paired to the same transmission options, garnering 450 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The Mach 1 increases the horsepower to 470 as a more track-focused option.

Mustang is all about performance. Standard performance-enhancing features include a line lock that locks the front brakes along with a limited-slip differential, allowing you to do drag strip burnouts. The EcoBoost handling package adds Torsen limited-slip differential, adaptive suspension dampers, and upgraded brakes. The High-Performance package gives you engine cooling, a shorter suspension and rear differential gear ratio, upgraded brakes, and an active exhaust system. You get a limited-slip differential with higher gearing, rev-matched downshifts on the manual transmission, and upgraded brakes on the GT. The GT Premium adds upgraded Brembo brakes, improved engine cooling, Torsen limited-slip differential, and sport suspension. Finally, the Mach 1 tops it all off with Mach 1-specific short suspension with adaptive dampers, a special exhaust system, Torsen limited-slip differential, and Brembo brakes.

The 2022 Ford Mustang is just as nice inside as outside, with the EcoBoost featuring a Wi-Fi hot spot, a six-speaker stereo, keyless entry and ignition, and a 4.2-inch center display. The EcoBoost Premium and up add dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, interior ambient lighting, partial leather upholstery, a nine-speaker audio system, and an 8-inch touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Ford knows that safety is important and adds Ford Co-Pilot 360 to the 2022 Mustang to help keep you and your passengers safe. It features lane keep assist, forward collision mitigation, automatic high beams, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. The Ford Safe and Smart package adds a navigation system and adaptive cruise control. In the event of a collision, the advanced air bag system will deploy to help keep everyone safe.
