2022 Ford Expedition

You can get the 2022 Ford Expedition in five trim levels: XL, XLT, Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum. An extended-length option known as the Expedition Max is available on all trims except the XL. On the XL, you get fog lights and 18-inch wheels. The XLT adds a hands-free liftgate, power-deployable running boards, and 20-inch wheels. You get a Stone Gray exterior trim complete with King Ranch badges and emblems along with 22-inch wheels on the King Ranch trim. Finally, the Platinum features a satin aluminum exterior trim that is sure to catch the eye of everyone you pass.

You get the same engine on the 2022 Ford Expedition, regardless of the selected trim level. A 3.5-liter turbocharged V-6 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission powers the Expedition down the road. You can expect to get 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for all trims except the Platinum. The Platinum gets a bump in horsepower to 400 and 480 pound-feet of torque.

Ford understands that performance-enhancing features make the drive more enjoyable and has added several to the Expedition. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with an available four-wheel-drive option to provide you with more control over treacherous terrain. You can tow up to 9,300 pounds when you properly equip your Expedition with the Heavy-Duty Trailer package. This package adds trailer brake control, an upgraded radiator, 3.73 rear-axle gearing, and trailer backup assist. There's also an FX4 Off-Road package that offers all-terrain tires, an off-road-tuned suspension, skid plates with fuel tank protection, an electronic slip differential, and an upgraded radiator to go off-roading in your Expedition.

Slide behind the wheel of the 2022 Ford Expedition to experience the comfort and convenience features. You get a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry with push-button start, and tri-zone automatic climate control standard on the XL. Additional standard features include a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, a six-speaker stereo system, and an 8-inch touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The XLT adds satellite radio and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Limited upgrades you with power-adjustable pedals, leather upholstery, heated second-row seats, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. On the King Ranch, you get a panoramic glass roof and special leather upholstery. Lastly, the Platinum has wood and leather interior trim, an upgraded leather upholstery, ventilated and massaging front seats, and active noise cancellation.

Getting to your destination safely is of utmost importance, so Ford has added many safety and driver-assistance features. Standard features include automatic high beams, a lane-keeping system, automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, and an advanced air bag system. On the higher trims, you also get park assist, a surround-view camera, and full-speed adaptive cruise control.
