2022 Ford Escape

You can get the 2022 Ford Escape in four trim levels: S, SE, SEL, and Titanium. You'll get 17-inch wheels on the S, while the SE adds a chrome exterior trim. If you add the Cold Weather package to the SE, you also get remote engine start and heated outside mirrors. The Convenience package gets you a power liftgate and upgraded headlights. For 19-inch black-painted wheels and black exterior styling elements, you'll want to go with the SE Sport Appearance package. You can also add a panoramic sunroof to the SE, SEL, and Titanium trims. The Cold Weather and Convenience packages are standard on the SEL, along with fog lights, roof rails, and 18-inch wheels. You can add the SEL Stealth package for black exterior styling elements and 19-inch black-painted wheels. The Titanium upgrades you with 19-inch wheels, roof rails, chrome exterior trim, LED headlights and fog lights, and a hands-free power liftgate.

The S, SE, and SEL come standard with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. You can expect to get 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. On the Titanium, you get a 2.5-liter hybrid engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission that gets a total system output of 250 horsepower. This engine is optional on the SE and SEL as well. You can also choose a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for the SEL or Titanium that gets 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.

Ford put a lot of thought into designing the interior of the 2022 Escape, making it roomy and comfortable for passengers and drivers alike. The S comes with a six-speaker audio system, Wi-Fi hot spot, and 4.2-inch central display screen. The SE adds two rear USB ports, keyless ignition and entry, and an 8-inch touch screen with satellite radio. You get a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, power-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and imitation leather upholstery on the SEL. Finally, the Titanium upgrades you with a wireless charging pad, driver's seat memory settings, ambient light, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo.

Ford knows how important it is to arrive safely at your destination and has added plenty of standard and available safety and driver-assistance features. Standard features on the 2022 Ford Escape include a blind-spot monitor, forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation, and an advanced air bag system. Available features include a lane-keeping system, parking sensors, evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and a head-up display, depending on the trim level you select.
