2021 Ford Ranger

With the 2021 Ranger, you can choose XL, XLT, or Lariat trim levels. Three cab sizes are available as well: SuperCrew, SuperCab, and Tremor Package SuperCrew. You can also select a 5- or 6-foot bed. The truck's black grille has a metallic crossbar with the Ford Blue Oval in the middle. You'll also get a sculpted hood, automatic halogen headlights, a cargo lamp, and four cargo tie-down hooks. Manually-folding side mirrors with blind spot mirrors, tow hooks, and 16-inch wheels are standard as well. You can add fog lights, LED headlights, a chrome grille, 17- or 18-inch wheels, running boards, and a steel bash plate. Other options include a manually-sliding rear window, privacy glass, a power lock for the tailgate, a hard or soft cover for the bed, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The Ranger comes with up to 9.7 inches of ground clearance. Available colors include Cactus Gray, Carbonized Gray, Cyber Orange, Oxford White, Iconic Silver, Rapid Red, Race Red, Velocity Blue, and Shadow Black.

The turbocharged, four-cylinder, 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine provides 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. It's connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and automatic stop-and-start technology shuts your engine off when you come to a stop, conserving fuel by reducing idling. Accessories like the air conditioner stay on, and the motor restarts automatically when you use the accelerator.

The 2021 Ranger can pull up to 7,500 pounds and carry up to 1,860 pounds. It has excellent acceleration, responsive power steering, and an independent suspension. It can travel 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. With the Terrain Management System, you can choose from Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts, Normal, and Sand driving modes. Other options include four-wheel drive, Trail Control off-road adaptive cruise control, an engine block heater, and a heavy-duty suspension.

With the Ranger, you'll get voice activation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a locking glove box, a 110-volt power outlet, an outdoor temperature display, an 8-inch touch screen, and three 12-volt outlets. You can also add cruise control, navigation, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and push-button start. A 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system with a 660-watt amplifier, keyless entry, SiriusXM satellite radio, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated eight-way power seats, and upfitter switches for a variety of accessories are also available. You can also manage maintenance updates through your smartphone.

The 2021 Ford Ranger comes with a rearview camera, trailer sway control, a security system, curve control, traction control, lane-keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, hill descent control, and automatic emergency braking. You'll also get forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, and Ford's MyKey system. It can restrict audio volume and speed while keeping driver assistance features on. Other optional features include parking assistance, a dynamic hitch assist backup camera, and driver alertness monitoring.
